As an Addendum to my previous post, I wanted to include a picture of Whitman and his cardboard butterfly. These were stolen from the Library of Congress in 1942, along with his notebooks, and returned in 1994.
I didn't know anything about the fake butterfly. Walt Whitman, what a fantastic image. Check the turnpike further north sometime, there's a bathroom named for Howard Stern. Now there's an appropriate homage. How about us getting together over the phone while I'm logged into my blog. There's some stuff that I'm stuck on that I think I screwed up from the start, and then there's lots more that I should know about, but don't. What'ya say? dan
